Determine speed by, for each major track block, looking up the distance between two consecutive detectors, dividing by timing, multiplying by scale factor, echoing to screens. Speed readings based on voltage and/or current will vary widely according to locomotive construction, load, etc. Voltage, current, and power indication, however, are good items to display.
