The Friendship Force of the Pikes Peak Region is based in Colorado Springs. Our Club was chartered in 1992 and has about 70 members. Although most of our members are at or are approaching retirement when they have more time and resources to travel and host visitors, there are no age limits for membership. We usually participate in at least one inbound and one outbound international journey each year. We also travel to and host members of other clubs in the United States. Click on Exchange History on the home page for a complete list.
Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region are both well known as an inviting tourist destination offering abundant sunshine and clean air. The city is nestled on the high plains at 6,200 feet (1,890 meters) above sea level at the foot of 14,115 foot (4,343 meters) Pikes Peak. When hosting visitors, we include a drive to scenic destinations in the Rocky Mountains. Our climate is great for visits from May to late October. If ambassadors are flying, we prefer they arrive and depart using the City of Colorado Springs Municipal (COS) Airport.
